Most of my Virginia wedding photography is throughout the Hampton Roads and Tidewater area and the surrounding seven major cities: Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Hampton and Newport News.
I cover my local photography area, but I will also travel throughout Virginia should you call upon me to do so.
I will create elegant and lasting photographs and memories for you. My photography style is photojournalistic and traditional, the best of both worlds. I will get those shots when you are not looking, but I will also get the shots of family that everyone desires.
For me, and for you, the client, it is about the emotion of the day.
I strive to create a tapestry of emotion that flows throughout your lives. When the wedding day ends, it won't be the end. Every time your wedding album opens, you'll visit those memories and fall in love all over again.
When I am there on the day of the wedding, the bride and groom, the family and their guests are part of the story that will live on through my images. I take that very seriously. The real emotions work with me and seep into every shot.

Do you shoot strictly journalistic or classic posed style?

Are you easy to work with?

If I do say so myself, I am extremely easy to work with. If you are not happy, I am not happy. You don't need any more stress coming from your photographer. My goal is to accommodate you on the most important day of your life. I pride myself on being easy-going and able to roll with the punches.

Where should we take our portraits?

Pick a location that is right for you. A couple of local suggestions: Virginia Beach at both the South and North Ends, Chesapeake Bay, Norfolk's downtown area if you want a grunge portrait session, Red Wing Park,and anywhere in between. Come up with other ways to have your portraits taken including renting a yacht (I know it sounds crazy) or taking a ride on the Spirit of Norfolk or a Tall Ship Cruise. Portraits may also take place at your or someone else's private home.

When do we start?

I start almost all of my sessions aproximately an hour and a half before sunset or just as the sun is beginning to rise if you want a sunrise session for the very best lighting. But even if we don't meet during those times, you can be confident that we will get great shots.

What should we wear?

Anything you want! The day is your day, but I do recomend a couple choices: Solid colors or simple prints, and avoid wearing anything too trendy or with logos unless you want that as part of your memories. For group or family shots, each group or family should choose their own matching colors. Pick a theme and incorporate that into different types of clothes.

How long do we have to wait to get our pictures or digital negatives?

The turnaround time can be from one to three weeks depending on our schedules. They will then be placed online for viewing and purchase. Prints normally take another 5-10 days to arrive after ordering.
