Do you shoot strictly journalistic or classic posed style?-I blend the best of both worlds. From my experience in covering dozens of weddings, I know that most couples want posed pictures of their families. I also know that often the most precious pics are the ones when they don't see me capturing that moment when daddy and daughter are dancing and crying together, or when the groom is looking lovingly at his bride. Those are the special moments I look for and seek out. Are you easy to work with?-Absolutely. You don't need any more stress coming from your photographer. My goal is to accommodate you on the most important day of your life. I pride myself on being easy-going, yet I am able to get the shots I need during the day. FAQ Where is the best place to have our portrait taken? Pick a location that is represenative of your personailty. Here are a couple of local suggestions: Virginia Beach North End, Chesapeake Bay Beach, Downtown Norfolk, Red Wing Park. I also encourage you to come up with fun and different ways to have your portraits taken including renting a rowboat or taking a ride on the Hampton Carousal. Portraits may also take place at a private home. What time should we start? I start almost all of my sessions aproximately an hour and a half before sunset or just as the sun is beginning to rise if you want a sunrise session for the very best lighting. But even if we don't meet during those times, you can be confident that we will get great shots. What should we wear? Anything you want! The day is your day, but I do recomend a couple choices: Solid colors or simple prints, and avoid wearing anything too trendy. For group or family shots, each group or family should choose their own matching colors. Pick a theme and incorporate that into different types of clothes. What happens if it rains? If you want to still get those shots in the rain, we can do that. Honestly, those can be the most honest types of shots. I will, however, contact you by phone on the day of the session to confirm our appointment. If the weather does not look like it will cooperate, we can move the session to a different day at no extra cost. How long is the turnaround time? The turnaround time can be from one to three weeks depending on Ted's schedule. They will then be placed online for viewing and purchase.
